Wolfson College, Oxford is hosting an event, ‘Self/knowledge: Autobiography and Research’ on Saturday 25 February.

Of particular interest to FWSA members will be the panel Selves and Sisterhood, with Dr Margaretta Jolly talking about her project ‘Sisterhood and After: An Oral History of the UK Women’s Liberation Movement’; and Dr Lucy Allen, who studies narratives of violence, sexuality, and gendered stereotypes of truthfulness in popular fiction, especially medieval romance and runs the popular blog ‘Reading Medieval Books’.

There will also be talks from Dr Sally Bayley, who will discuss her new book, a literary memoir (Harper Collins, 2018) that explores the relationship between patterns of reading and the patterns of memory through the structures and craft of a seamstress; and Una of Una Comics, who will talk about the relationship between Louisa-the-academic and Una-the-artist, about womenโ€™s spaces, and about thinking through our mothers.
