The FSA is an accredited nominating body for the Research Excellence Framework (REF). The REF is the system for assessing the quality of research in UK higher education institutions. The reviews are carried out by 34 expert subject-based panels. The panels are made up of senior academics, international members and research users from across the UK. Nominations are invited from any association or organisation with an interest in the conduct, quality, funding or use of research. As a nominating body, the FSA makes nominations to the REF Sub-Panels.

The FSA recognises the importance of intersectional feminism, and as such is mindful of equality and diversity when making nominations.

We will release call for nominations when asked to do so by the REF. If you have any further questions, please contact
