Welcome to the Feminist Studies Association. The FSA is a UK and Ireland based network promoting feminist research and teaching, and gender and women’s studies nationally and internationally. Through its elected executive committee, the FSA is involved in developing policy on issues of central importance to feminist scholars in further and higher education, supporting postgraduate events and enabling feminist research. Committed to raising awareness of women’s studies, feminist research and gender-related issues in secondary and tertiary education, the FSA liaises regularly with other gender-related research and community networks as well as with policy groups.

The Feminist Studies Association (UK & Ireland) provides exciting opportunities for academics and students involved in feminist, gender and women’s studies. We run regular feminist events across the UK, as well as schemes including the FSA Book Prize, the FSA Mentoring Scheme and the FSA Student Essay Competition. We are a key resource for news on feminist, gender and women’s studies, for those within UK and Irish universities and beyond.
