We are recruiting for three position on the FSA Executive Committee.
Student Essay Prize Officer:
This individual will be responsible for running the FSA’s annual Student Essay Prize Competition. Duties include overseeing the prize’s call for submissions, answering questions from applicants, organising an internal review panel, and corresponding with journal editors in relation to the publication of the winning entry. This role would suit any individual with an interest in publicity, editing, publishing and communications.
Publicity and Newsletter Officer:
This individual will be responsible for putting together and circulating the FSA’s quarterly membership newsletter. The role includes overseeing the coordination of news entries and notable events alongside the design of the newsletter itself. This role would be suitable for any person with an interest in graphic design, publicity and marketing. Experience using MailChimp, Canva or any other newsletter-creating tool would be additionally desirable (though not essential). There would also be the potential for this individual to further support the FSA’s social media team.
Website and Social Media Officer:
This individual will join the FSA’s team of Social Media Officers to provide website and social media support. Responsibilities will include creating social media content, posting and promoting news and events via the FSA’s online platforms and channels, and working with the rest of the Executive Committee to ensure that opportunities are circulated in a timely and engaging manner. In terms of the website, this role would also involve posting updates and making edits to our official WordPress site. This role would be perfect for anyone with an interest in social media management, marketing and communications.
