New Chair / Co-Chairs for Spring 2024

As my time as Chair of the FSA is coming to an end in 2024, we are seeking applications for a new Chair/Vice-Chair or Co-Chairs with the hope that they can begin in Spring 2024 for 3 years. 

The role of the Chair is to oversee the running of the Association. The Chair’s duties include chairing executive committee meetings and the annual general meeting, overseeing the exec’s roles, liaising with the exec about their roles, organising working/focus groups within the exec, building the Association’s networks and connections, assisting the membership officer and treasurer with income generation, and responding to external requests for information, e.g. from higher education bodies or from members. 

This role is best split between 2 people – either as Chair/Vice-Chair or as Co-Chairs. We welcome applications from individuals or from 2 people applying together. The role will on average take around half a day per week. I would be happy to talk with anyone interested in applying about the workload and duties.   I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the board for their ongoing work in maintaining and developing the activities of the FSA. The FSA would not be able to continue without their commitment.

We will also accept joint applications for those who wish to apply together.  Applications will be posted on the FSA website and members will be invited by email to vote using an online election tool.
